Chess Boards
Let the wood inspire your next move. Our chess and checker boards are designed to accommodate the most elegant of the fine chess pieces manufactured today, as well as heirloom sets that are to be found in the family, or discovered in an antique shop.
Our standard chess boards feature 2 1/4” squares of beautiful figured Koa and Hardrock Maple. These are captured inside a Koa rim that is inlaid with a wood which might be Wenge (black), Paduck (orange), Saligna (reddish pink), or Purpleheart (purple).
The board is finished with a self catalyzing bar top lacquer which is extremely durable. The chess board finishes out at about three quarters of an inch thick at the rim.
